Rating 5 We have a toy poodle that we rescued about a year ago. A few months ago, she started to pee every half hour or so and was lapping up unusually large quanties of water. The vet did tests on her and determined she has some renal problems. She started our poodle on Azodyl and a special diet. Within 2 days (no kidding) our little poodle was back to normal! She has been taking the medication every day and seems perfectly healthy. We are so grateful!

Rating 5 I can't recommend this product enough! I came home one day to find my usually active cat huddled on a bathmat, feverish, moving only to drink, and would not touch her food. After a sonogram it was revealed that she had one tiny deformed kidney and one HUGE deformed malfunctioning one. The prognosis was not good, and I prepared for the worst. Well, after just a few days on Azodyl Misty regained her appetite fully, and after a week she was chasing her kitty roommates around like a kitten and had gained half a pound (a lot for her - she is tiny!). Its been 4 months now and she is still in wonderful shape and enjoying life! This stuff is a miracle drug.

Rating 5 Our Golden has been on Azodil for years. I was concerned with ordering a prescription that needs to be kept cold during Christmas week. PetsTruly.com, handled our prescription quickly and our Azodol arrived on ice packs. It was the easiest time we ever had. Other companies have sent it warm over regular mail. We will definitely use them again.

Rating 5 My PKD cat has been on Azodyl twice a day and Clavamox once a day for 2 years, along with 75 ml of fluids eod. She is happy and does not appear ill although her illness is terminal. Azodyl helps her quality of life. Don't whine about capsule size. Just poke it down the throat longwise.

Rating 5 My 18 yr. old Lhsa-Poo was only expected to live about 30 days after he was diagnosed with kidney failure. I immediately put him on Azodyl twice a day and he lived 2 more years. I would highly recommend it.

Rating 3 My cat had been diagnosed a couple months ago with kidney failure... She has been getting fluids daily and been on Epicatin.. and I just started one week ago with the Azodyl. I have not noticed a change.. she is howling like crazy at night and it breaks my heart.. any suggestions? How long does the Azodyl take to work? I feel hopeless... I will say.. I spoke to the vet that helps manufacture Azodyl.. and it should NOT be mixed into food for maximum results.. it should be given on an empty stomach and not eat immediately after. If necessary, open and mix into a spoon of yogurt or cottage cheese...but try to just shove it down unopened for best results.

Rating 5 My 8 yr old cat has been on azodyl for 2 1/2 yrs now and i believe this medication has improved his life. one month ago my 4 yr old cat was diagnosed with kidney failure and i started him on azodyl as soon as i could and his values came down tremendously. today he runs around chasing and beating up his 2 yr old cousin kitty. I truly believe in Azodyl and will continue to use it as long as i can and as a veterinary technician myself i highly recommend this medication. i feel bad for those pet owners who can not medicate their dog or cat as i know it is very frustrating to them when they lose the trust of their beloved pet. Try your best but always remember the quality of your pet is most important

Rating 5 I have a 9 yr old english mastiff.I took her to the vet for routine lab work just to make sure and it came back elevated bun creatine and amylase levels. We caught the kidney problems in the first stage. I was on eagle pack and switched to rx k-d dog food and axoydl I will keep you posted but my vet said she had a dog that was in kidney failure and switched to both and the dog lived another 2 years. My vet is not out to sell sell sell she gave me the bottle of axoydl no charge. I know you have to pay close attention to the dog food you feed.

Rating 5 Working well for my Shih Tzu. Had trouble swallowing large capsule, spitting it out. I cut a hot dog up into 8 pieces, poke a hole into the middle of each piece & insert capsule into the hole. He thinks he's getting a treat & rarely spits the capsule out. Wish I had an idea for cats.

Rating 5 My cat Charley was diagnosed 1 1/2 yrs ago with crf. My suggestion for anybody giving this big of a pill to a cat would be to use a pill plunger, dip the end of the pill in a little butter, and have a small syringe of water nearby. Kneel and put the cat between your legs, pry open their mouth, pop the pill in towards the back of the throat, hold their mouth closed gently & massage their throat until they swallow. Can squirt a small bit of water into the side of their mouth to help the process of swallowing. We've been doing this routine nightly, followed by a little treat, and have had no problems at all. I do believe Azodyl has prolonged his life, since the vet & staff thought he would only survive a week. It brought all his levels down.

Rating 5 My 17 year old cat had come down with renal failure and is now on Azodyl as of yesterday. My vet said she checked with the company that makes it and said it was okay to open the pill and sprinkle the contents on the food. Any food! I got some canned chicken breast since Beauty loves it and put the meds in it and mix it and he eating it very well.
